Recorders

The recorder is a woodwind instrument, which earned its popularity in medieval times through the baroque era. They are relatively easy to play at a basic level as they are pre-tuned, so today it is widely used in schools as a popular teaching instrument leading on to clarinet, flute or saxophone. It is, however, incorrect to assume that mastery is similarly easy - like other instruments, the recorder requires significant study to play at an advanced level.

Meg Tinwhistle
One of the first tinwhistles manufactured in 1843 by Robert Clarke. Meg is the Victorian word for a halfpenny and that is precisely what Robert's Tinwhistle cost to buy. Sadly inflation means they now cost a little more, but they are still very good value and sound very good for the price. Various colours are available in the key of C or D. £3.49
