Cookes Keyboard School

A Children's Keyboard Lesson
There comes a time in most people's lives when they say “I wish I could play music". If you enjoy listening to music, you will also enjoy making your own. It can be very satisfying to sit down at a keyboard and find you can play a few tunes, but nothing can be more rewarding than being shown how to improve yourself by an experienced teacher using the latest instruments and a flexible tuition course to bring out the best of your ability.

Whether you are 7 or 77, a complete beginner or have been playing for a while, Cookes Keyboard School can help turn your dream into reality.

Age is no Boundary
We teach children from 6 years up to senior citizens. We have courses aimed at specific age categories,  comprising 6-8 years, older children, and adults. Our courses incorporate reading music, playing music, and music theory. Fun musical games are used to aid and encourage learning for younger children.

Keyboard or Digital Piano?
The choice is yours. Our Studios are equipped with the latest instruments.

No Instruments? No Problem!
Arrangements can be made for you to hire an instrument to practise on at home.

Group or Individual Tuition?
We find individual tuition is usually the most beneficial, however we do also teach group lessons. Individual tuition is also available for those who prefer 'one to one' lessons.

When Can I Come?
Children's classes are normally held on weekday evenings or Saturdays, with adult classes usually being held during the daytime and late evening. We will always do our best to arrange your lessons at a mutually convenient time.

Nervous?
Please don't worry - music is to be enjoyed, which is why our lessons are fun and relaxed. Our trained teachers will recognise and understand your needs. Just relax and enjoy yourself!

Exams
For those who would like to take graded exams, we host London College of Music (LCM) exams twice every year. Cookes Keyboard School is a private LCM Examination Centre, so we offer the added benefit of taking exams in a familiar environment. LCM exams are unique in the graded examination world in being awarded by a university. LCM exams are accredited by Ofqual, which benefits pupils by gaining UCAS points for higher grades.

Cost?
A six week course of lessons & book starts from as little as £66.
