Bill joined Cookes in the 1950s as a young apprentice, restoring and reconditioning pianos whilst the company was still under the management of Arthur Cooke Junior. Bill is now our Mangaging Director. A traditionally trained piano tuner and restorer, he also specialises in accordions and is a very able accordionist himself. He very much enjoys repair and restoration, bringing life back to people's treasured instruments, alongside expertly advising on new products.

Steven joined the company in the 1970s, as a specialist within the thriving organ business and has progressed to become a company director. Steven is an accomplished musician, specialising in organ and piano. In his time here at Cookes, he has accrued a vast and comprehensive knowledge of products, and has developed strong long standing relationships with many customers who value his detailed and helpful approach.

Joanne joined the team in 2003 as Sales Consultant, and now manages the sales team here at Cookes. Her experience of performing, and wide ranging sales and product knowledge enable her to find the perfect tools for the budding musician, from the first school recorder or violin to professional quality pianos. A capable musician, Joe has a great working knowledge of instruments and accessories and is also trained in the maintainance and repair of violins and harmonicas.

Oliver joined Cookes in 2009 as Sales Consultant. Not only is Oliver a trained pianist, but he is also a confident keyboard player, enabling him to give thorough demonstrations on a wide range of products. As a true enthusiast, he is able to apply his experience and knowledge to guide you to the perfect instrument, in a expert and friendly fashion.

Robert joined our Adminstration and Sales team in 2010. He has many years experience within the music industry's retail and wholesale sectors as well as being a busy musician. Robert is on hand to assist in answering your questions and guiding you through our product range to find you the perfect item to suit your needs.

Tom joined Cookes in 2008 to expand our Administration and Sales team. He is a self-taught pianist with many years of performance experience. This helps to enable him to identify the perfect instrument to enhance and improve a player's performance & skill. He also helps to control our computer & IT systems, ensuring Cookes is kept up to date with the latest technology.

Alan joined Cookes in 2007 and is often the first point of contact for telephone enquiries. His main customer service responsibility is the co-ordination of piano tunings,  liaising with our tuning technicians to provide the very best in service for our customers.

Teresa joined Cookes Keyboard School in 2001 when it was Technics Music Academy. She has been key in enabling this busy school to expand and flourish by teaching piano and keyboard to hundreds of adults and children, inspiring them into a world of music. She also organises our annual Charity Playathon, in which many students play their instruments for a number of hours sponsored to raise money for charitable causes, such as EACH and the Darren Huckerby Trust. 

Teresa Bell - Keyboard Tutor

Laurence joined the Cookes Keyboard School in 2004, teaching keyboard and piano to people of all ages. In the time Laurence has been here, he has taught and inspired hundreds of local students, launching their journey into the world of music with confidence and ability. Laurence and his students also participate in our annual Charity Playathon, helping to raise even more for good causes.
